Tummy aches Rss

Hey ladies.

Needing a little bit of advice. I have a 7 week old who so far has been really happy and content bar a bit of wind issue at about 2/3weeks old. But as of the last week or so he seems to be having very frequent tummy aches. This includes crying, pulling his knees up and his stomach making gurgling noises. He has no spilling, nor is he constipated ( two bowel motions a day) and he brings up his wind really well now. He has been formula feed from birth. He is on Nuture starter.

If any one has any ideas on how i can help him or advice, that would be great.

We have our 6 week check up tomorrow as its the first day our doctors is open, so i will be mentioning this to her as well but wondered if any mother were/have been through this.

Thanks in advance
hi, could be relux, some babies get silent reflux where it comes up and burns back of throat but doesnt come out, my friends 3week old has reflux and brings her knees up and has a sore tummy.
Could be colic or could be a reaction to the formula.

I would ask the GP for a referal to a pediatrician/Assesement unit at local hospital to be assesed for allergies. My DD had horrible tummy pains in her earlier days due to allergies and formula. She couldnt take the dairy, tried goats which was a worse response than the dairy and ended up staying on soy.

Good luck I hope it resolves itself soon

Hi there,
I had similar problems with DD1 when she was the same age it was horrendous!!... I got Infacol from the chemist... and it was an absolute miracle, She was a different bub straight away, Its safe to use and non addictive, it gathers all the wind together & makes it easier and more comfortable on bubs tummy, we had to use it for about a month & now its only used when I eat something "windy" (she is combined formula & breastfed)
Hope this helps smile
