He is 10 months old. He is on Antibiotics (his 3rd course!) and we have ear plugs, I will give him Nurofen and a decongestant before descent but just want to know if anyone has had a similar experience. Thanks! smile
Baby flying with ear infection?!?
Does anyone have any experience flying with a baby who is recovering from an ear infection?? He has had it on and off for the last 6 weeks and it seems to have almost cleared up - I am taking him to the doctor again before we leave but I am so stressed out that I am doing the wrong thing by taking him on a plane.

DS had ear infections all the time and still does but getting less and less in between now. We flew when he was 10mths for the first time with a trip that required 2 flights for each way. I was concerned before we left so talked it over with the doctor.
We made sure he had a bottle on the way up and again on landing, with either formula or water in it. Also we gave pamol 30mins before each flight and then half way through the flight. And I always eat winegums when I fly so we also gave him wine gums on 2 of the landings as he didn't want the bottle. DS normally doesn't have lollies so he quite liked sucking on these. He showed no signs of any ear problems at all
Good luck with your trip.

Thanks so much for your advice! smile Did your bub happen to have an ear infection at the time of flying (or around that time)? Or just used to get them in general?
