Around New Years my 6 mo started pulling her chin in really close to her neck. She first did it while sitting on her grandma's lap. While she doesn't cry out when she does it, it doesn't appear to be very comfortable. I'm not sure whether she might be just trying to sketch her neck?

She's still happy & very active though... crawling, standing up using furniture etc.

Have any other mums noticed something similar with their babies?

Yes! My ds does this and it's bloody hilarious. He tenses his whole body up, tucks his chin in and pokes his tongue out a bit.

When he first started doing it I had no idea what he was doing but it cracks me up everytime he does it. I just think his a little strange. blink

Oh and he is almost 6 months, he probably started doing it around 5 months. He doesn't do it as often anymore though.

My DD also did this! I was a bit concerned too but she seems to have grown out of it (she's 7 months now). Can't remember exactly when she started maybe about 4 months old?? I wouldn't be worried though smile
