Hi,
I was also looking for other parents out there who are dealing with this condition.
Our girl Joanna Dawne was born 28th November 2011, 18 days overdue weighing 9pd 4oz.
The hypothyroidism was picked up with the heel prick test and confirmed when she was 11 days old.
Our problem at the moment is getting the thyroxine syrup into her, she is now old enough to know what is happening and will close her mouth and when we do get the medicine in she spits it out again.
Have you had to deal with this and if you have, do you have any tricks that worked for you? (I even gave it to her when she was asleep once this week!)
I am also over smug looking parents that say they are pleased they are over 'those days' when they did not have to deal with giving their baby daily medication!
