3 month old hasn't slept in 12 hrs Rss

Hi I'm just wanting some advise my dd is 3 months tomorrow she's had a bad cough for 10days & been on antibotics for the last 4 days. Well yesterday she had 5 pooing nappies which seemed gastric she normally goes once every second day. Then last night she was awake from 3pm till 4.30am this morning with 2 or 3 cat naps 5-10minutes at the most. I got dd to sleep around 4.30am she slept till 8am & wants to sleep I just can't seem to get her to sleep I've given her a feed, burp nappy change play ect then I put her in bassinet she just crys I've even tried just rocking patting her in my arms nothing is working. Please any advice would be great
Is it the cough that is keeping her awake? Does she have a temperature? Maybe try a humidifier/vaporiser (think you can hire them at some chemists) to help ease the cough. If you think she may have a sore throat you could try a dose of panadol.

Also raising the top end of her bassinet so she is not lying flat can sometimes help with a cough.

No other ideas of how to get her to go to sleep. Have you tried putting her in the car and going for a long drive?

Hope she is better soon and you both get some sleep. smile

Thanks for your reply I don't think it's her cough keeping her awake that actually seems to be getting better we have a vaporizer we used it at the start. Her bassinet is already raised at one end so she's not lying flat. Dd doesn't have a temperature & gave her panadol twice last night it didn't help
