My partner gave my 7 month old panadol at 8am this morning , he didnt tell me untill after id given her more panadol (he didnt know i was giving her some) and iv just given her another dose at 11am , it says every 4 hours, its been 3 hours?? will it be ok? should i do something?
No. Three hours is fine. It's just not reccomended.
And as long as you gave her the recomended dose as per the bottle says and not more.

phewww thanks , was getting worried.
just remember though that is is only 4 doses within a 24hour period so you will need to arrange her other doses accordingly. That equals a dose every 6 hours but you can give it 4 hourly upto your 4 doses. so she would need to go much longer until her other doses.
If its for a temperature and that is not controlling it and you are going to not have enough doses left available to get her through the night i recomend seeing the gp this afternoon, evening and they can give you something else that can be used inbetween giving the pamol every 6 hours. Our gp gave us ibruphoen (not sure of spelling).
if ever worried about meds, phone the doctors and ask to speak to the nurse, in new zealand we have plunket line aswell.
take care hope your little girl is feeling better soon.
