I was told to avoid using baby powder as it gets into the baby's lungs and also causes cancer. Do I take the advice and avoid it? Baby powder is made up of ground down rock,isn't it? so it doesn't sound too good.

Hi, i believe the same as you. They breathe it in and is not good for them. I never used talc, saw no need for it. Dont use it on myself and didnt use it on my babies.

I never liked the idea of them breathing it either even tho I have never heard it from anyone else before. i guess you could say the same about cooking with flour etc as well?? I have read that some fugi live on corn flour so avoid flour. Just dry bub bot with a tissue after wiping.

I read in a health magazine that talc powder is linked to cerical cancer. I was never planning to use it with my daughter.

same!!! stops them going any further.
I imagine baby powder would create a paste so I've always stayed away from it.
