cold and sleeping on tummy Rss

Hi there

Am experiencing my babys first cold =( not fun!

Went to docs today as she had a rising temp - got to 38.1. Theu advised me her body is fighting the virus and it will get better. Just wondering tho, she has a runy/stuffy nose, is sleeping on her tummy ok? I usually roll her back onto her back but thought on her tummy may draw out more mucus...(she rolls over by herslf btw...) she is 7 months old nxt week

Thanks
I couldn't tell you what is considered right or wrong, but once my babies could roll over by themselves in their sleep I left them however they were. I only put them on their backs until they could roll consistently. I agree with you; I think sleeping flat on their backs chokes them up when they have a cold. I would elevate the head of their bed when they were on their backs, but that's not practical once they are on their tummies. Hope baby is over it soon; nothing is fun about a little sick one.
I found tilting the mattress useful when DD was little. It helped alot, along with a vapouriser.

She was in our room then so I could monitor her position etc.
