Nappy Rash Rss

Hi ladies,

My poor ds has is on antibiotics for an ear infection, and in turn has had mucousy poos for nearly a week now. His bum is red raw and he cries every time I change him - which is every hour or so.

I have been lathering on the Sudocrem, without much success, so am wondering what else works? I have heard Lucas' Paw Paw ointment is good, but am yet to try it.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks smile

I had the same problem when my son was on antibiotics (for an ear infection too). He had it so bad I would cry every time I had to wipe him. The best thing I did was have nappy off time and lots of it. If it was around the time he needed to do a poo, I would stick some undies on him. As he was younger and hardly moved around much I just laid towels all over the floor. And if you can nappy off time outside..helped wonders. At night time just put as much cream on as you can, and say sorry a lot.
I hope that helps and it clears up quickly for him and you.

Hi

My health nurse told me to put vaseline on DS bottom first as this acts as a barrier so when the dirrohea hits the skin its not as painful. Put alot on then you can also put the sudocream over the top.

Hope this helps.
Thanks for your suggestions ladies. I have been giving him nappy free time, but will ramp it up even more.

I feel so awful when I change his bum, because it hurts... Poor little man. It looks a lot better this morning though. Still red, but not as angry looking

Thanks again! Hope you have a great day!

You could try a probiotic in his milk to try and counteract the loose bowels?
Sillic 15 is fabulous on nappy rash. I don't use anything else now.
I swear by moogoo for everything in my skincare. I haven't hot kids yet but u know ppl who have who use their nappy balm and apparently works wonders. www.moogoo.com.au stockists on website or buy online same price online as in Stores.

All their products are edible and natural... And all their products can be used for all over body inc face that's how gentle they are.

Also try get some old fashioned sunshine onto the rash except I haven't seen the sun for a while hmmm looks like winter has come early!
Paw Paw Ointment all the way in this house! It's been a quick fixer for his poor bot. Sometimes I put it on him and it's an instant result, he stops crying and gets on with his day lol. Great stuff smile
I know it's really hard but nappy free time worked the best for me - my daughter had the days and about 3 nights with no nappies and it worked wonders for her - i also tried hydrozole which helped a lot.
Thank You all for taking the time to reply! After some extra nappy free time in the sunshine, the nappy rash has all but gone!

Thanks again smile
