8 month old baby now with spots Rss

my son is now 8 months,
and for the past week he has been unwell he has had a snotty nose and a cough,
then he started to get a temp he had it for about 3 days

he went to the hospital one of them nights as he got to 39.1 . while we was there he had started to get a rash on his forhead it was little red spots everywhere. they ended up going away so they gave him two types of panadol and sent us home.

then just last night i went to give him a bath and noticed he has lots of tiny red spots all over his back, his neck, behind his ears and working there wayto his tummy.

we went up to the hospital and they said it 'looks' rash because he had been unwell and is getting better.

but it is still on him and is starting to get lumpy. im un sure that it is that...
he has been very sooky and is not eating/drinking as much as he normally would.

if anyone has any idea's of what it could be? or if im ot to worry about it or not? thx
Chicken pox? My little girl got it when she was 9 months old. She had fevers and looked unwell for a few days before the spots appeared, then they broke out in new batches every couple of days for about a week. There are so many different causes of rashes in babies, my doc said it can be really hard to pinpoint what it is

Is it dry and itchy? could be ezcema?
Could be a heat rash?
Or could just be an immune response like the Dr said. if you're concerned you should go back to the Dr smile You're the mum, you have every right to go back or get a 2nd opinion.
No way anyone on here is going to know what it really is hun, sorry

Sounds like a viral rash to me but if you're still worried, take him back to your GP!! Better safe than sorry. GL smile
Hi, I just wanted to see if anyone has had the same experience. My baby girl is 2 months old just about to turn 3 months on July 6th. She started off with a slight rash on her face which rapidly spread and it became red and lump dots which spread to her eyes and behind the ears it now has spread to her entire body. The Dr said that it was a viral rash because she now has diarrhea. I can't think of the rash name but it sounded like it started with an A or E or I and it was one of the more common rashes that babies get by breathing it in.

Does anybody know of any common rashes/viruses that start with these letters? Or sounds like they do?

Cheers,
