Shampoo and Bath Wash Rss

Hey smile
Just curious as to what baby shampoo and bath wash/ body wash stuff you ladies use?
Also do you mosturise you're bubs?
DD is 14 months old, but i'm not too much of a fan of Johnson's, but there's not much choice!
smile
We're using the aveeno baby wash at the moment. Seems to be working great smile We have the aveeno baby moisturiser but only use it occasionally if her eczema flares up or her skins abit dry. It's one of the few things we've found that doesnt irritate her eczema.

Another range I've heard is good is the dermaveen for baby range.

There are plenty of good soap & chemical free, ph balanced, natural products to wash baby with. Avoid J&J though. They're full of junk & harsh chemicals.
We used nothing but water til 12mths, then ECO (a NZ brand), then we tried Johnsons but I have discover that keeps bringing out a rash on DS checks. So, back to ECO for us.
For our youngest we still use Huggies.

We bought heaps when the stores began to stop stocking them.

Does any one know why the stopped making them???

Is there something wrong with them???

Ive been wondering the same thing! They used to be sold everywhere when DD1 was a baby, then when I was pregnant with DD2, the only place I could find them was the clearance bin at priceline huh
Many of the specific baby washes and shampoos contain chemicals, detergents and something to make it smell "nice", the huggies wash was no different. We use MooGoo and Sukin

Aveeno is made by J&J

First we had Each Other, Then we had You, Now we have Everything

Really? Wow, you learn something new everyday smile still, her skin doesnt react to it so the ingredients must be different.

Yep smile I had no idea either until a friend told me. It's in the fine print on the back of the bottles. Thats good her skin doesnt react smile

I use Burts Bees shampoo/body wash and the Buttermilk lotion. Smells awesome and I love anything that doubles as a wash/shampoo. Its tear and SLS free. Buriti Baby (spelling?) from The Body Shop is lovely also. I won't go near anything made by J&J
don't use a wash on him, have eco store baby soap if needed but just use water and a face cloth, don't really wash his hair unless he gets food in it so maybe once every 3 weeks or so, then use a tiny squirt of j+j on the food part and water on the rest.

I used Johnsons with DD#1 and although she didn't react to it I got TERRIBLE dermatitis on my hands from bathing her!! DD#2 gets eczema and it was really bad using Johnsons. I now use this stuff called Dermasoft and it is great, it has cleared up her skin and I use it as shampoo for her as well. I have also started using it myself instead of bodywash and it has helped my skin too. It is a bit pricey though.
We use curash. Love it.

We were using ECO Store baby wash, but now we use nothing as it was drying DS's skin out. Got rid of the J&J bubble bath also.

We have just started using a Apple smelling shampoo about once a fortnight and that is it. I just crub him really well with a face cloth.
Hi there...we use a combination of washes and moisturisers but my favourite is the Sebamed range. Its available only at some pharmacies but is ph balanced and is brilliant. The nappy rash cream is the best and the bubble bath is also great! Very gentle on their skin. Also use Baby Billy Goat which is also a fantastic product.
I use Natural Instincts wash and GAIA shampoo. I use sorbolene as moisturiser or sometimes QV.

---mum of two cuties---

I use Aveeno baby wash and J&J hair & body conditioning shampoo smile

I've just discovered the Buriti Baby range at Body Shop. It smells delicious and the baby body butter is so nice.

just the kids body wash at aldi for my babies
We use curash I love the stuff!

Have you ladies heard of Nutrimetics that is what I use on my kids it is sooooo good and good for the whole family go to www.nutrimetics.co.nz/karlacullen Each one of the Botanicals products is enriched with natural ingredients to ensure they deliver on their promise, gently and caringly
Hi,

From birth I have used the Akin PureBaby range, and it is lovely. An all natural product, available at most pharmacies. My DS has never had any skin problems.
For washing the little one's hair we use curash 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner and for the bath we use water and olive oil. My daughter has extremely sensitive skin and ever since she was a newborn the olive oil has never had a reaction, so we've stuck to it. I'm sure everyone's child is different.
We use sebamed too, j&j was horrible with my 1st one so i ended up using QV oil and the j&j together. With number 2 we used curash until we moved os where we couldnt get it then started using sebamed which we now use for number 3. Its fantastic and it smells divine too.

I didnt know nutrimetics had baby products???
We use Sukin body wash and shampoo, and have used Eco Store in the past too. I love Eco Store's sleepytime bath and still use it - it smells so good and all natural.

With nutrimetics botanicals you can use it on babies its for the whole family it is really gentle on the skin great stuff
We don't use baby wash!

Dirty baby! blink

No but seriously, by DS's skin doesn't react well with soaps or baby washes so I just put a little almond oil in the water and wash him with a flannel. Oh and he is bald, so no need for shampoo yet.smile
My baby has really sensitive skin so after trying nearly everything I found Curash soothing oatmeal Ive only found it at countdown but to me its the best by far
yep curash for me too oatmeal on is more gentle. i have only found the oatmeal one at a pharmacy and i think it was in big w - i know it is only in one department store.
we just wash our dd in whatever soap free bathwash we use. it's all the same in my opinion. we did use specially made baby wash when she was a bub, but as soon as she turned one she just started using the same as us. we buy moisturising wash, as our water is really harsh & we use sorboline lotion to moisturise a few times a week & extra if she's dry. i just buy kids shampoo for her hair. i think that it's all the same, but they like to market "baby" stuff to us parents to get us to spend more. if your not using soap, whatever you use to wash in will be fine for your kids...
