Dry skin on 11 day old Rss

Hello,

My son is 11 days old and has very dry/flaky skin.
The hospital told us to use Olive Oil but it is not working.
Can you recommend something to use?

I'm using Aveeno Baby daily moisturiser, but don't know if it's helping. She has flaking skin but I think that's because she's scratched herself with her nails. I trimmed her nails down a bit to help.

My DD was overdue and started to peel/flake really bad. The chemist gave me QV skin lotion and it worked wonderfully!!

To me the Aveeno cream didnt work. So i tried QV cream and it was wonderful!

I just applied the cream at every nappy change.

I hear almond oil works, buut haven't tried it myself.

If you only bath bub once a week and let their natural oils have a chance to do something then you'll most likely see a huge improvement. Don't put any soaps in the bath, just plain water.

I agree!! Nothing in the water will help and also no lotions! Forgot to mention that.

I agree too. My DD2 was really dry and got a bad hormonal rash all over her face. I only washed her in water every few days and occasionally put sorbolene cream on her. Cleared up really well.
