Excited??? What was your first "baby buy"? Rss

If you're as excited as I am, despite this is my third time around, you may have spent hours shopping online and in store looking for that first thing you buy your unborn newbie. It took me aaaages to decide, but today I finally bought some blankets, and first complete outfits, for my little man due to arrive in July. My partner had already purchased a rugby ball for him (being that it is our first boy)... but I had taken a long time to decide. What was your first buy for your baby?
Sadly I can't really say one item in particular.

We walked into a baby store on the way home from my sisters house just to have a look and walked out $6500 later!

Mind you, that was all furniture, pram, high chair and car seat!

I was always too paranoid to buy anything as things just seemed to happen too easily that I thought something had to go wrong! Luckily for me, all good!

I have not really bought anything for my last three babies until after they were born as we did not find out the sex. Even then, we didn't buy much as friends and family bought us so much each time!

All the best for your pregnancy!

Ours isn't very exciting, but soon after we found out we were having a baby, we were in Big W looking through the baby things and decided to buy a baby bath that was on special smile It's practical at least! DS was in it for 5 months so it got good use, too.
with all 3 of mine, it has been clothes. I guess coz it seems "safer" ... if anything happens you can always keep unisex clothes for next time or gift them to friends iykwim?

Mind you I started shopping around 6 weeks, I'm due late June and already have 2 huge boxes of stuff I've collected

Our very first "buy" was a outfit.

We didn't get to buy much while i was pregnant, as we got given everything from family members.
Bassinet, high chair, blankets, clothes, you nam it.

Our first big buy was her cot though, which we were so proud of smile

Fisrt buy was some cute little ugg boot type slippers that i seen in coles last winter. I would have been about 20 weeks pregnant. I picked them up my husband looked at me like i was crazy got size 6-12 months. Still have them haven't wore them yet as not cold enough, who knows if we will use them as we tend to just wrap her up when its cold with just socks.

First large purchase was a mountain buggy pram with bassinette attachment. Went to five million baby stores looking at prams then found better price online ($100 cheaper through babyzonedirect) if you do buy with them buy in advance think it took about 4 weeks to come but they do state that on wesite so I wasn't concerned.
we bought some socks, the day I was 24 weeks

I bought a KTM racing bib while i was in my local motorcross shop, as its about the only thing i will have to do with riding motorcross for a while haha.. that was at about 12 weeks. I didnt but anything else until about 6 months smile

I bought a stroller!
I'd been looking at them online for months and we were at the shops and I saw the one I wanted and it was on sale! So I told DH I had to have it then and there! And my mum as with us so we both convinced him it was necessary smile

I'm only 12 weeks but I've bought a stroller, car seat capsule, bath, bedding, rosking chair and cot... and then there's the things other people have bought for me! LOL! I don't really have much left to get!

When 20 weeks pregnant with DD1 just after i had the 20 week scan we went out and bought a pram.......

Am currently pregnant with number 3 and all i have bought is some nappys and 3 winter jumpsuits in 0000.... As im having baby girl number 3 i don't really need anything exciting...

I brought a Lamaza toy that clipped onto things before I was 12wks - I was very naive (sp?) about MC's and other things that can go wrong.

Then at about 15wks we brought a mobile and matching blanket, from then on it was a bit of everything that a baby needs!
