If he was a big baby or you have a small frame you may have seperated stomach muscles. underwear designed to hold the tummy in can help them knit back together if it is a small seperation. Otherwise talk to your GP as surgery can be an option.
The 'plank' exercise (you may want to Google it for pics and tips) is generally great for firming up the stomach site! However, it can be a bit strenuous, so it's best to check with our GP that nothing is actually wrong with your stomach muscles before you actually start doing it. Start off with a 15-30 second work out, and add 10-30 seconds to the length of your plank each day. It can be a little painful, but no pain, no gain!

Also, situps are a BRILLIANT way to firm up your core muscles, but you do have to be pretty disciplined! No stretching out the arms or moving the legs!

These were the exercises that helped me get into shape after my twins! But I know how bad the flabby tummy feels, as I've just had triplets and I have loose flabs of skin EVERYWHERE!
Goodness twins and triplets im in awe smile its my disposition for cakes thats prolonging the problem, never had a gut before though just bum and thighs... Its gone down some with the pilates but im expecting again so there goes that, thanks for the replies ladies x
I wish I had a happy story to tell. After the 2nd c/s mine has gotten worse. sad Im due for a 3rd and final c/s next year. Once new baby dosnt need to be carried Im looking at reconstructive surgery.

Ive been told that some PHI will help pay for the surgery depending on your condition. I also have a small hernia that I will get fixed at the same time.

No matter how skinny I have gotten it dosnt go away. That is I must say the only down side to a c/s.

Good luck op I hope you find soemthing that works for you.

Hello, breastfeeding helped me loose alot of weight after having my baby but also running on a treadmill for 30 mins each day and also doing sit ups each day helped get rid of my tummy flab. I also gave up dairy and i lost 17 kilos in 8 weeks smile

17 kilos in 8 weeks! That's awesome good on you! You've inspired me! I have 15 to lose and I want to do it in 12 weeks! Was that in the 8 weeks straight after you gave birth??
