Hair loss, is it normal??

Ok so i'm sure it's been asked but I'm getting worried. I'm shedding hair like there is no tomorrow. DD2 is 4months and for the last few weeks it's started falling out. I can feel that it's not as thick as it used to be. Is it hormonal?? I've not got my period back yet as i'm BF.

I never lost my hair with DD1 but i got my period back straight away even while BF.

Really hoping it's normal and would love to know i'm not alone and it will grow back. smile

Totally normal but I was really worried when mine started doing it as it seemed like at the rate it was going I'd be bald in no time - it is just starting to slow down now and bubs is 7 months old (and yes I still have plenty of hair!!!)

Phew. It just seems like it's forever falling out. I was just unsure as I never lost ANY hair with DD1. Well hopefully it won't take long and it will stop falling out. Thanks.

Nearly 12 months on from my last bub and I'm still losing a handfull everytime I wash.. Mind you it only started falling out after I finished BFing which was about 4mths ago. I have always lost hair after having bubs, but never as much as this time round.. I want to keep my thick tresses lol...

Its normal. I lost heaps of hair after having ds, i too thought i was going to end up bald lol. But mine happened when he was a week old and lasted until he was 6 months. It drove me insane, there was hair every where.

It started exactly 3 months after dd was born, and continued for about 3 months...stopped overnight almost!...

Now i have all these tiny baby hairs sprouting up all around my hairline...i go through alot of hairspray now roll eyes

Yep. Normal. Its because your hair goes through a dormant phase while pregnant where it doesn't really shed so a few months after bubs arrives you get the mega shedding and the ridiculous looking regrowth! Joy!

As pp have said very normal. I lost my hair constantly for 18 months after DS was born and finished bfing at 10 months. I am still losing it over 2 years after he was born but it's not as bad now. It is a lot thinner then it was but so healthy! (I had really thick hair to begin with)

i agree..normal but still not fun, i lost a bit with #1 but heaps with #2 i literally had bald patches on my temples! its just beginning to shed again with #3 the last time it only lasted until bub was 6months...wonder how bald ill go this time..joy lol
