Baby Sleep Soundtrack Rss

I am obviously a stay at home mum- atleast for the next 4 months. This leaves me alot of time to search the net.

My DD is 7 weeks old now and from very early on in my pregnancy I have played her music and sung to her. I just stumbled upon this American site that boasts about a MP3 soundtrack that gaurantees sleeping success, has anyone heard of it or tried it?

Let me know?? grin
Haven't tried it but we had great success with "Sounds for silence". We got ours from the markets 2nd hand but I've seen it for sale at target.

hi,

This sounds too good to be true but I'm watching this topic to see what people thought of it because if it does work I'd be interested in buying it.
I haven't tried it, although it's a bargain at that price, I'd give it a go!

I've also had huge success with Sounds for Silence, which I bought for about $40 from thesleepstore.co.nz
In fact, I'm listening to it now! "Gurgaloop" is the only thing that gets my 5 1/2 month old DS to sleep - once I realised it had to be LOUD he started self settling immediately, and has gone from sleeping on me every nap all day, to putting himself to sleep in his cot every sleep with only occasional fuss. He rarely even needs a pat.

Best of luck!
I went and bought the Instant Baby Sleep soundtrack....but unfortunately didn't work. And it was an annoying sound like a radio frequency not tuned in. It didn't calm my DS and I still had to rock/sssh him to sleep. Lil*Miss, did you have any luck with it? & Baby Blueberry what sort of music is the Sounds of Silence?

My DS is now sleeping better anyway by me using the Gentle Removal and him eating more solids....so I'm slowly getting my sanity back. smile

Hi Leah,

Sounds for Silence has 6 or 7 different tracks and you experiment to find which one is best for your bub. Initially DS liked kerpump, which sounds like you're in the womb - is got a fast heart beat, slow heart beat and whooshing sound layered together; and really fills the room. Gurgaloop is a combo of gentler sounds - maybe rain, wind and a washing machine or something? It kind of sounds the way I imagine a haunted house would without screaming! There's one with a vacuum cleaner and others, and there is a white noise/radio static track. I can't recommend it enough, but when they say it has to be loud they mean it - we had a hi fi on a chair next to the cot for 2 months! Not loud enough to hurt their ears obviously but so loud they can hear it when they're screaming at their loudest.

Hi Leah, Thanks for your review, I've been looking for info on this CD for my DS who wakes a lot at night (hungry!) and takes ages to get back to sleep <img src='http://www.huggies.com.au/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='<_<' />

The CD sounds like white noise or pink noise maybe? If that's the case I won't buy it since I've seen similar CDs for cheaper! Apparently some babies like it and some don't.

I've got my eye on this package which includes a free pink noise CD and a program for babies feeding all night (that would be ours!):

Does anyone know anything about it?
