Baby Bullet Rss

Hey guys I wanted to know if anyone has seen the advertisments on tv for the baby bullet and if anyone has bought one. It looks pretty cool and I was thinking of getting one later on down the track when this little munchkin inside me pops out and is ready to eat solids. Or does anyone know of any cheaper alternatives? I think the over all cost for the baby bullet is around $200.
I haven't seen it but I just used a stick blender - way cheaper and I'm guessing does a similar job.

I just used my normal blender and it worked great. Now that she is liking lumpy foods I just use the potato masher.

I used our food processor. They really don't need it smooth very long, after a couple of months I just mashed it with a fork or if I was doing a big batch to freeze just used the potato masher.
Personally, I prob wouldn't waste the $$ smile
I got given a magic bullet from my baby shower goers which was awesome but a lot cheaper. Think about $40NZ I'd definitely look at getting something like it but chances are because they're marketing it as a baby product for parents the price is rather inflated as opposed to a normal blender/stick mixer which would do the same thing smile
I wouldn't bother- I just push the food though a sieve!
My bub is now 6 months (we started solids at 5 months)and I just mash the vegies with a fork or mix it in the blender. We are also doing baby led weaning so just give bub "chip" sized pieces of cooked veg- easy! smile
I have a kenwood mixer, and bought the mini chopper mill attachment

which cost about $60. It has 4 glass jars to blend and make purees, all with lids. This plus a ice tray and lid from tupperware, i spent less then the baby bullet and it does the same thing. best of all, its not just able to be used for baby food. i use it for grinding spices, making salsa's and marinades. quite versatile!
