Baby Yoghurt
So Ive been buying the 'My first yoghurt' for DD (7 months) Its about $4 for six little tubs(rip off!)! So I was thinking about just buying a big tub of yoghurt but i'm not sure which one to get? Do I just get the natural yoghurt? or greek yoghurt or light yoghurt ahh I dont know! Help please ?
Hi my DD2 is 9 months. I use Jalna natural full fat yoghurt and mix with fruit that I've cooked and pureed or I use the Rafferty's pureed fruit pouches. My health nurse told me Jalna is more natural and you have to use full fat until they turn 2.

I just get natural unsweetend yoghurt and add fruit, cinnamon etc to it to give it different flavours.

ive been using jalna as well. never did the baby yoghurt. DD loves it, shes had it since 7.5mths no probs.
There is so much extra stuff put in a lot of yoghurts (sugar, colours, preservatives, etc). If you can get your kids to eat natural or greek yoghurt early on you'll be laughing. Full fat is best.
We buy plain jalna yoghurt here too! Sometimes I mix fruit through but most times I just feed her straight out the pot.

We get the Greek style yoghurt unsweetened and without honey. The label says 5g sugar per 100g which is less then the 'baby yoghurt'. Sometimes I added stewed fruit but they were just as happy with it plain.
Baby yoghurt is a marketing gimmick!
We've always bought Jalna organic natural yoghurt or Yoplait do the same thing. Full fat.

I make my girls yoghurt. We have an esiyo yoghurt maker and ever few days i just make up a new batch. there is heaps of different flavours u can get and because you are making it fresh there is so much more of the good bacteria in it because you are eating it the day its made not a month later like the brought yoghurts

get full fat(not light) greek or natural yogurt.Greek is not as tangy

I use jalna vanilla flavour, my 7 month old loves it.Its the best one i could find without additives and to much sugar. The plain one tastes way to sour and my daughter hated it and wouldnt eat it.its like $6 for a kilo lasts me about a week and a half, but she has it every morning with rice ceral and fruit
Yep I agree with Jalna, my daughter loves the Vanilla and Blueberry one
