pre made baby food Rss

So i thought id try some pre made baby food to test to see what my baby will like when we go traveling as we have a couple holidays coming up..................no such luck they all taste disgusting and i try them aswell as her i figure if i like it she will, so guess ill just buy fresh stuff when im on holiday , im staying with family so shouldnt be to hard.Cant believe how gross it tastes!! she only liked one thing but it was pretty sweet even for me so not keen on giving her much sweet things except fruit and yogurt , dont want her refusing veggies.
Have you tried the Only Organic range of baby food? DS really likes it, he still eats the fruit sachets as a snack now and hes 18 months!

DD didn't ever like any premade baby food with vegies (but she LOVED home made). She did like the fruit and muesli ones- we only bought organic too.

All three of my children hated the pre made baby food including the organic range. I had to make their food.
Must say same of the pre made baby food does taste disgusting!
The rafferty's garden pouches are awesome! The only pre-made veges I like the taste of too.

Agree!! Rafertys garden pouches are excellent. And they tell you exactly whats in them!

Great for taking traveling because you can warm the pouches in the microwave so no need for bowls!

I dont really like their spaghetti though its very strong.
Yep iv tried all of those brands, they are the only 3 iv tried actually, owell i guess homemade is best anyway.thanks for your replies.

how old is your baby? Have you thought about baby led weaning (BLW) def makes life alot easier especially when travelling as they can eat what you eat.

just google baby led weaning but ill pop up some links once I find them.

Hope you have a good holiday!

Take a look here

BLW

all the best

I have never givin my little girl jar food (except for Apple or pear pureed when she got a little older too save a little time cooking)Even when we went on holiday I just cooked heaps, froze it and took it away with us. She is now almost 10 months and I still cook seperate meals for her and freeze it, actually I spent most of yesterday cooking all her food lol.
I don't buy it either, but I know some ladies in my mothers group have bought the Raffertys Garden ones (they also tasted them first too) and said they were really good.
I only used brought baby food! And DS isn't fussy and trys most things on his plate. I do not believe it has had any negative effect on him, when I look at a friends son the same age who only had home made and is now sooo fussy! 2 of DS's grandmothers (he has 4) always gave him home made food which was about 1 meal 3 days a week.

The only things I prepared at home were mashed banana, mashed kumuara + apple. We have the smallest of freezers so it wasn't practical, and I don't own a blender or anything to get it smooth for a lil bub.

We used Watties (Heinz in Aus) and never had a problem. He was a healthy lil boy. We did BLW and stopped the canned food at about 1yr.
