Throw me lunch ideas, Rss

So Charles is on 3 meals a day now, big boy. =)
Unfortunately I am struggling with lunch everyday we have a vegemite sandwich, with no crusts cut into fours. I suspect he eats maybe the top half of one fourth of the sandwich. Lately he just picks up one sucks on it throws it away then proceeds to eat his plate. I tried Banana sandwiches instead yesterday, lunch is my favorite meal because he feeds himself, and I can do my dishes and keep an eye on him at the same time.
For breakfast he has cereal with fruit, and dinner we have a meat with vege for him.
I just need lunch ideas, I also need some advice on how to get vegemite out of clothes...but I might make a new post for that in general discussion.

My little boy alway loved Toasted cheese sandwiches. I found he pulled sandwiches that were untoasted apart and played with them more than ate them. But when I toasted him a cheese sandwich and cut it into triangles he happily munched on them. This was great cause he had a few teething issues and was small eater at best when teething. It was always a struggle to get some food into him. I also used to get some of that filled kids pasta as he liked that. The 5 vegetable one with cheese. It has peas and all in it. Cook it up and let it cool with a bit of grated cheese on it and he would nibble away at it. On the days he wasnt too hungry he loved having chopped Kiwi fruit and Banana. As well as some savoury biscuits with cheese. Yes my boy loves Cheese smile

scrambled eggs
hummus sandwich
avocado sanwhich
baked beans
zucchini, corn fritters

you can cut the crusts off bread and roll it out flat then put in muffin tins and bake till crispy - so they make a basket
then I add egg and savoury stuff - chives, paprika, ham cheese etc
or sweet stuff - fruit, raisins with a bit of cinnamon and egg.

Thanks everyone, I tried two new things with DS today and I have never seen him eat so much, ate all the filling out of his bread basket, and ate half a crossiant with cream cheese and ham lol

Sometimes when my DD seems fussy, I give her little bits of a few different things to gain her attention, instead of a larger portion of just one thing. If she does have sandwiches I only use one piece of bread, but it in half, make it, then cut into 3 so I'm not making a full sandwich and throwing most of it out (or eating extra myself not to waste it!!).

Also just wanted to say I love your cute easter pic - what a cutey!!
