Dropping a bottle feed at 6 months Rss

I have a question about dropping a bottle feed for my 6 month old. At the moment she has 5 bottles per day and up to 2 1/2 tablespoons of solids. The problem is that we have to wake her for her last feed at about 8.30-9pm which we have had to do since she was 3 months old. The issue is that as she gets older she doesn't like be woken very much- understandably!! Her routine is:
8am bottle
11am solids then bottle
2pm bottle
5pm solids then bottle
8-9pm woken for a bottle

I was considering spreading her afternoon/ dinner feed out so she has 'dinner', play, bath, bottle at around 6-6.30 then bed at 7..... But how can I safely drop the late bottle without making her go hungry??? There is a lot of conflicting advice on this sort of thing.
Has anyone experienced anything similar??? What did you do??
Hi!

My DD2 is 6months old and was drinking 5 bottles a day, and around the same as your 6month old with the solids. I also would wake her for her last feed. With what you are considering doing I did and she didn't wake up, but after a few weeks when I didn't wake her she started waking around 3 in the morning looking for a feed. All children go through different stages of growth spurts and wanting more or less, my daughter goes weeks being content with having 4 bottles then changes to wanting 5 bottles for a couple of weeks.

If you drop the last bottle that you wake her on,expect the possibility that she may wake up. Don't worry about safely dropping the late bottle without making her hungry, trust me if she is hungry she will wake smile
My DD2 isn't that interested in solids as was my DD1 so each day I have been offering her more solids even toast and bananas, obviously watching her at all times and then rice cereal, and then dinner.

You will just have to try it and see what happens, trust your own instincts as her mum, you will know what works for you and for her smile
Thanks! I did skip the feed last night and she woke a few times in the night, but I don't think it was related to hunger. I woke her tonight and she only had about 100ml!! Oh well I guess I'll just see how she goes.... It is so nice to hear that someone else is/has been through the same thing!! And you know you should trust your instincts, but sometimes you need some reassurance!! smile

I understand about needing reassurance smile My 6month old started stirring around 9pm last night and I said to my husband we should get her up then for a bottle otherwise she will probably wake around 3am, he said oh she will be alright! Sure enough she was up at 3am for a feed, nappy change and a big chat smile My DD2 is teething and has been restless for the past few weeks too.
Take care smile
