My DD2 loves watermelon, cuccumber, sandwich fingers, pears, broccoli, beans, carrot. Anything really lol.
Anything is safe so long as you cook it correctly, so not to mushy not too hard. And they are cut into pieces big enough to grab. smile

At 8 months my little girl was eating pretty much everything Except for the things you iknow that babies cant have eg Popcorn whole nuts etc
I would cut everything up into squares big enough for her just to put straight into her mouth some mums say long peices like ships but I found my little girl would put the whole thing into her mouth..
This was roughly her meal plan
Breakfast: Toast just with butter cut into squares or Weetbix broken into peices soaked in milk and then maybe 3 tbs of diced two fruits
Morning tea: Grated cheese and diced avocado and Diced fruit (Maybe bannana)
Lunch: Tuna macaroni cheese or spag bowl or casserol or baked beans on toast etc
Afternoon tea: piklet and a yoghurt and diced fruit (Maybe watermelon)
DInner: Diced meat or fishfingers and diced veg

My son loves yoghurt with fruit bits in it smile
For breakfast he usually has baby cereal with breastmilk and mashed banana or toast.
Lunch I do heaps of veges in a sauce with rice or pasta. Then a yoghurt or fruit.
Dinner he has whatever we are having, I either mash up the veges or cut them up for him and give him little bits of meat or chicken. Then a yoghurt or fruit.
Otherwise for snacks he likes crackers and cheese or random veges or fruit.
He absolutely loves peas too smile
When we go out I usually pack some crackers and fruit with some water for him.
Most of the time he'd rather have a booby when we're out though.
Sometimes he won't eat his veges so I mix them with some cheese sauce smile
