Noah loves his Daddy so much
As the title suggests my baby adores his daddy. My hubby does everything I would do. Only problem is, the slightest change in my hubbys routine causes my baby to be so unsettled. He was home for 5 days and my baby is devastated. I'm struggling. He's cried for almost 2 hours now and he is inconsolable. I've spent most of my morning trying to settle him with NO luck. How do I help my boy adjust to my hubby's change in work times? He hardly ever cries and is happy to put himself to sleep most nights. Any advice/help would be appreciated! He turned one yesterday smile
I have a lil man just like that. DF used to work out of town, now he works less than 500m's away so comes home for both lunch breaks (he has 1/2hr morn n arvo instead of 1 at lunch).
Here are a few ideas:
- I have everything ready so DS & I leave the house when DF goes back to work. DF puts him into the car.
- Make a point of going out and waving goodbye to DF and saying Daddy is going to work - I always emphasis the work and now he gets that dad always comes home from work.
- Bring DS inside and have a bottle n bed.
- Take DS into the backyard - loves the outdoors - and he goes off and plays
- Or if DF is going out straight after work, I have DS in a bath when dad leaves, he looks for him but there is now crying.
I hope these ideas help.

That sounds great.. i'm going to try those ideas. Thankyou so much!!
But one thing im also noticing when if i do put him in the bath he'll cry before bed, then wake up at like 5am and is inconsolably crying. And if i give him a bottle and bk to bed he wont sleep again. And my poor husband is so sleep deprived sad Any ideas?

We shouldn't complain since they think their dads are amazing, but some days I would like to turn the tables so DF can see what I have to go thru!
DF gets up at 6am & leaves at 7am, but is rather a loud person to live with! So DS wakes up most mornings as DF leaves for work, so I get up, and then plan my day around an extra nap-time. Not sure if that helps.
DS did go through a stage of waking up 20-15mins before our alarm, so we just let him cry it out, and DS got up a lil later for about a 1 1/2 weeks.
I have also taken to making DF start using some discipline (sp?), and this has made us more equal. I know its not a competition, but why do I have to look like the meanie all the time.

I laminated a pic of DP and DD crawls around with it everywhere- kisses it etc its very super cute, if she see's it she waves at it etc!!
