Breastfeeding with periods Rss

My almost 10 month old son is breastfed (no bottles) plus 3 solid meals. He is quite happy to amuse himself on the floor majority of the time. Last week he came out for about 4 days really grumpy, crying, whinging, off his solids (ate his breakfast and would not touch or open his mouth for any other meal), finger in mouth rubbing in different spots. I thought, ok, must be teething. (He has 6 teeth, and they all came through without hardly a grizzle, so wasn't really certain if that was the case.) Still no teeth......

The day after he started to be unsettled, I got my periods, and he became fine again a few days into my periods. I have had my periods two other times and he didn't seem unsettled those times, but this time round my periods was a lot heavier and cramping more severe.

Basically, just wondering does anyone else's baby seem affected by the hormones or something when periods about to come/has come, or does it just sound like he was unsettled for some very unknown reason.

Thanks

Hey,
I have only had 4 periods since having my daughter but when i have a period i definitely notice that she doesnt breastfeed as often or drink as much, i think its because it changes the taste and then because she really wants it and isnt having as much as she normally does gets grumpy and frustrated but if your little one is still drinking as much when you have your period than any other time i would probably just assume that it was something else upsetting her and not your milk, i doubt the hormones could actually give her pains ect
