Is she getting enough? Rss

Hi All,

I am a little concerned that my DD (13weeks) is not getting enough milk, i was breast feeding her every three hours, however over the last month she begun to sleep through the night, this almost automatically made my boobs dry up.
her routine changed it is now the following:

wake up at 8ish- 150-180ml formula
midday- 150 ml formula
4pm- 150ml formula
8pm 180ml and bed- breastmilk

According to the formula pack for her age she should be having 200mls 5times a day, i try to give her 200mls a feed but she just doesn't drink.

i have tried to get more breastmilk our but just can't as soon as she started sleeping through my boobs production just slowed rght down even if i try pump every few hours, i get nothing.
The guide in the tin isjust a guide so i wouldn't worry about what it says.

So long as she is having lots on wet nappies and gaining weight, then I would say she is getting enough. If she is happily ging 4hrs between feeds then that too would indicate to me that she isn't hungry.

I would enjoy it while it lasts because they are forever changing sleep patterns. smile

Yeah i agree with the above comment!
When my daughter was young she was on formula and she never quiet met the guidelines on the back! My midwife said as long as they are gaining weight at a steady pace and having wet nappies through the day then give them what they want! They will only drink until they have had enough!
