I was wanting to buy my 15mth old son one of these for christmas. I want him to be interested in reading from a young age like I was, however my husband says these are a waste of money and would rather buy him toys. What are your opinions on this product.
Leapfrog Learning Pads
I am not overly familiar with the Leapfrog system but can comment on the phonics approach to literacy. In my opinion the best approach to improving literacy skills is to be read a wide variety of books each and every day - it's that simple, no system required.
Specific books that take a phonics approach can be used in addition if you feel that your child requires extra help with pronunciation and the like.
