Odd things happening Rss

Hello, I am currently 22 weeks, and 5 days preganet, today i just went for my Pregnancy diabeties test, I didn't know until the midwife gave me a sugery drink, I had a blood test, but I would like to know from an expert, that would I have pregnancy diabeties IF:
- I am feeling dizzy
- I am feeling light headed
- About to collapse
- wanting to vomit (this has only happened once)
- Seeing odd colours....

It has happened to me now four times within the past 3 weeks... and I was starting to get worried. Can as a midwife can someone tell me if they have gone through this problem and/or know someone who has had this problem? Am I at risk? and if so, how can it be treated?

I had something very similar, I told my obstetrician about it but he said that all I had was hypertension :S and that all I could do for it was have plenty of rest.

Maybe you could possibly have the same thing but i'm only going off my experience smile
Have you got swelling at all?
not as far as i can tell, maybe in the feet, was hard to put my thongs on this afternoon. I am only 20 years old too.

Sorry to sound clueless but what's hypertension?
I'm thinking along the same lines. I'm thinking it is more to do with blood pressure.
Strangely enough with my last bub I felt that way and it was because my blood pressure was low instead of normal or high.
You can pop into any chemist and get it checked there, I did that all the time with all 3 pregnancies, just for peace of mind smile

I had my blood pressure taken this afternoon, they said it was around the 150 mark (least that is what i think i heard.........)

lol no your right I asked the same thing when the doctor told me.

It's what he called " severe high blood pressure " it can be really risky, especially to the baby. Mine was constantly bad and I also felt like vomiting, fainting, like I had feathers in my head instead of a brain..sort of like i was floating :s lol like i said it could possibly be what you have.

if I have that right, would that be also in a blood test?

edit my BP was at 120/74

150/????

150 is high. If you think you heard that and you have those symptoms I recommend getting checked out asap by a DR just incase.
Goodluck

totally agree.. especially if your lower number is high too... just ring up your labour ward and let them know that your a bit worried and they'll get you to pop in for a blood pressure test and just check the bub and stuff... when you have those sorts of symptoms it can lead to pre-eclampsia. LOL i had that with my first bub and you get used to keeping a very close eye on your blood pressure, swelling etc.. and they say if you have any dizziness, headaches swelling etc def ring them!
sorry! I meant 120/74 from what i am reading on my records from today v.v I had to run to my room (no not litterly) just to check, still, is that bad or good?
have you been eating/drinking enough? and how is your Iron levels I felt like that when pregnant with DS3 and found out my Iron was low took tablets and felt better almost instantly! might be worth checking out?
