hi ladies

last night chilling on the couch, i was stretching my neck from side to side and then i felt a lump on my neck under my right ear. Its like located where you kind of take your pulse.
Anyway its a little sore best way i can i describe it is like the start of the sore throat but its on the outside?!!? I managed to go to our local medical centre saw a doctor and he said its a swollen lymph node, i dont have a sore throat, i asked what it could be caused from he said likely my skin its likely an infection. I was given antibiotics its group A as im over 36 weeks pregnant it cefalxin sandoz <- generic brand (keflex). Doctor said if its not gone by friday to return to see him and then il need to get an ultrasound done....

Just wondering if any other pregnant women have had something similar? Im freaking out cos i broke the one rule and went on to google and gosh it only brings up the worst results.

Personally, I think you will be fine.
I've had two my whole life. Never thought of them until my daughter was born and she actually has one below her ear on her neck. It scared the bugger out of me. It's just a lymp node. Had an ultrasound done. It's not because she was sick or anything. Just seems to be a pronounced thing with us for some reason. Hers is still there. So is mine.
It's definantly worth having an ultrasound though just to out your mind at ease.
