My little girl was born with the middle toe on each foot tucked under the others. They seriously look like they were added at the last minute and don't quite fit there. She is now 16mths and running around with no probs. Specialists have said that it is up to us if we want something done as this would be purely cosmetic and involve moving tendons. Does anyone out there know of anyone who has been through this? I would love to get the opinion of a teen or adult as I am really stuck as to whether we get this done or leave for her to decide in later years.
Middle toes under others
Hi my little miss has her toes crossed too! The toe next to her big toe always sits below the 3rd toe on both feet.
My aunty is a midwife in britain and noticed it on a visit over. She said "oh just like all the other women in our family" (which I never knew as my toes are boringly normal!) but my mum, aunty, nana and other aunt all have to some degree or another have the same thing.
Apparently its very normal and Issy's almost 4 without any long term problems. If you want to have them corrected then I was warned from multiple doctors it could have more affect on their balance than if you just leave them how they are.
