is it reflux again Rss

I hava 3 year old boy who suffered with reflux from about 1 month he was on s26 AR formula and zantac.

Now i have a 3 week old girl and she was on nan ha but had alot of wind and pains in the tummy and her poop was not very regular so i tried infants friend and gripe water neither seemed to help so i went with what i knew from my son and changed to s26 and stayed with infants friend this has helped with her wind and her poop and she dosent seem to be getting pains in the tummy any more.

But now she is chucking alot after her feeds i dont think its from wind as she is burping quiet well now, She just wont settle for more than half an hour at a time too, ive tried everything wrapping cuddles rocking ive raised the head of her bassinette, she will fall asleep in my arms but with in 15 min of putting her down she wakes and nothing can get her to settle in her bassinette for more than half an hour or so.

Im feeling a bit like ive been here before and these things seem alot like my son before he was diagnosed with reflux.

Does anyone else think this is what it might be should i see a doctor or am i just looking for something in a normal baby.

Also i remember when i saw a pediatrician for my sons reflux he told me that if you suffer from bad reflux or heartburn in your pregnancy (which i did terribly with both pregnancys) then IT is most likely your baby will have reflux too.
I have recently been told by a couple of people that a chiropractor may be able to help with baby's reflux. One friend had tried everything she could think of and swears by her chiro.
have a chat to your pharmacist about mylanta or something similar until you can get an appt with your paed dr.

It sounds like reflux to me....the version my son had, and we ended up on zantac.

To help with lessening air intake (which will hopefully decrease amount of vomiting..), try posture feeding (lying on your back and letting bubs feed that way (makes them work harder, you want them to have the hind milk as this is thicker and less sugary).

Also try burping every 5 mins when feeding.

For some reason my son used to gulp the fore milk (sugary thin milk that comes out first) thus taking in air, and bring on vomiting....quicker than with the reflux vomit...I found the posture feed (not at every feed) and the frequent burping helped, but zantac was a godsend!
