Hi
My DS is a little over 5 months old (23 weeks). He was 6 weeks early and suffers from silent reflux. The main way it affected him was with his digestion. We tried Zantac at first but were eventually put on Losec 5mg once a day in a suspension formula. He has been on that for about 2 months now and has been doing well. He was b/f with the occasional top up of formula but is now exclusively on formula due to supply issues.

I started him on solids at 18 weeks (at nurses suggestion), he loves it and has been doing well but just the last week he has been crying in his sleep at about 3am (goes to bed anywhere from 6:30 - 8:00pm after bottle and vegies) and when I go in he is tossing his head around and pulling his legs up and squirming alot. At first I could just pick him up and after a bit he settled but about 2 hours later he would do the same again. I take him into our bed and he settles again for about an hour. He is usually asleep more or less through the whole thing but he cries and squirms.

His silent reflux mainly affected him with a huge amount of wind and trouble pooing but since starting him on solids he poos every day and doesnt seem to have as much wind but I wondered if losec doses need to be changed when they start solids or when they increase in weight? I am booked in to see GP on Wed and hope to get in to see paed soon but just wanted to check if I should be exploring other avenues in the meantime or if it is more likely his reflux causing the night wind. Have tried cooled boiled water and gripe water and although he may settle for a bit it doesnt seem to last.
Thanks
