baby language- different countries?
My mum bought us a Australian Baby Hands book, but we shyed away from using it because we live in NZ. Would it be hard for baby (9 mths) to re-learn NZ signs later in life if she grows up learning the Australian ones?
Hi
As New Zealand and Australian sign language are both based on British sign language, you will find that a lot of the signs are similar. If you wish to use New Zealand signs, I am currently writing the New Zealand version of Baby Hands and it should be available in book stores early next year.
Happy Signing

What about SALA. Is the signing in Souh Africa different, or is the basic baby stuff similar?

The sign language in South Africa would be different also. If you are based in South Africa, I can recommend another company in entitled Baby Hands who also run classes and have some product incorporating South African Sign Language. Their website is http://www.babyhands.co.za
I hope this helps.
