Is it too late to start signing with my 15 month old? Rss

My 15 month old son communicates quite well. He uses a fair few words and 2 short questions "whos that?" and "whats that?" he uses them in the right context though they are occasionally interchangable but it is clear what he is asking. Lately he has been throwing HUGE tantrums because he cant make himself understood, he just doesn't have enough words. Do you think signing would help, or is he too old?

I also have a 13 week old son who I would love to use sign with as he gets older. Where do I learn signing?

Baby sign language is a great tool to help reduce frustration in babies. You can introduce sign language to babies from the age of six months but it is not too late when they are one or two years old. Generally the older the baby, the quicker your baby is at picking up sign language and reproducing their first sign. Start incorporating a combination of practical and motivational signs for your baby. Be consistent and remember have fun; it won’t be long before you are experiencing the benefits of baby sign language.

Let me know how you progress

Happy Signing!
