Eczema/immunisation reaction? Rss

HI, just wondering if there is a link to a flare up with eczema due to immunisation? When I took my son for his 2mth lot he seemed to get quite bad eczema after that to the point where he had red angry raw patches over his face, torso etc..he had to wear mittens so he wouldn't end up covered in blood from his scratchinthru the night. We ended up in hospital @ 3mths as he actually ended up with SSS which was horrible. He has sigma and elocon creams to help the eczema when it comes up in red angry patches and i just use Aqueous cream everyday 3-4times. Now that he has had his 4mth old jabs his skin is startin to flare up again. Is this due to the high temps he had after them and that extra heat in his body reacting or could it just be the weather/pollen in the air or the actual immunisations? I realise that this is proberly hard to comment on as u haven't seen him but the Dr just brushed my concern of this off prior to the immunising. Thank you for any advice you may pass on.

Dear Andee

Medical opinion usually considers childhood immunisations pose no problem. However, it is always possible your son could have a problem with them as each eczema sufferer is different and what triggers their eczema is different. If your usual doctor just brushed aside your concern perhaps it would be good to get another opinion from a GP or dermatologist.
