Eczema on leg Rss

My son is 20 months old and has had for over 6 months eczema behind one knee, down the back of the calf and on his ankle. A small patch was on the other leg but just for a short time, the same with a bit beside his mouth. I have used sorbolene cream; Elidel with no effect on preventing or clearing it up; Cortic-DS which helps for as long as it is applied, but on the days that I don't use it, the eczema reappears.
My son seems to have a lowered immune system due to Necrotising Enterocolitis which he had when he was 3 weeks old. He catches colds, flus and gets sore throats very easily.
We bath him only in sorbolene. We cannot find any food which is causing it. We don't use fabric softener and have used the same laundry liquid since he was born, yet this has appeared sometime after he turned one.
What can I do to clear up his eczema?

Dear Nette

There are many other things which you can do to control your son’s eczema. We will send you one of our FREE information packs if you send your request (including your postal address) to help@eczema.org.au. As eczema is such an individual condition it is a trial-and-error process to find which products suit each individual sufferer. People can also develop a sensitivity to certain products which builds up over time. It is best to find a couple of each product, eg 2 soap substitutes, 2 moisturisers, 2 laundry detergents, to switch these about from time to time.

My son started to get eczema behind my knee at about 4mth during the summer and in winter it became very bad and covered his arms and legs, but i have since found a cream called Hopes Relief Cream it is for eczema. It is mainly made out of honey, aloe vera and vitamin e, I call it my mircale cream. Within 24hrs of using it i could see the difference and within 10 days it was completely gone and his skin is now so soft again, which we haven't seen in over 12 months. You can buy it from Selected chemists, there is an internet site that lists which chemists supply it. It is worth the try.
