can eczma sufferers still enjoy sand and sea? Rss

My daughter has eczma. She is 8 months old. At the moment we have her eczma under control. We are going to New Caledonia soon. I heard that sand is very bad for eczma sufferer. Can you pls give me advice of how to control the eczma but still can let my daughter enjoy the sand and sea.
Thank you very much

Make sure you have a large cotton sheet or a couple of big towels to put down on the sand for her to play on and not directly contact the sand. Vaseline or sorbolene cream are suitable for use as a barrier on the skin before entering salt water. It is also important to wash sand and salt off as soon as possible after contact using a suitable soap free wash/bath oil and then moisturise straight away.

Remember to always try products in a small area first and rinse in clear water immediately if an adverse reaction occurs.
