im after some tried tactics on how to wean my 10mth DD2 from her dummy! She only has it for naps and bedtime & its not causing her any sleeping problems (apart from the fact that she cant go to sleep without it) as she sleeps thru and is generally very easy to settle. However... she is VERY attatched to it and i fear the longer we leave it the harder it will be!
Ive attempted a few times only to have her screaming for upto an hour when her toy elephant(dummy substitute), fingers, etc arent doing the job. I cant settle her either. My DD1 was a breeze at 9months old when we took her dummy and gave her her toy cow, as she had tonsilitis and couldnt suck on it with out it making her scream.
