I am just wondering how much it costs to get a paternity test...
My sons ex GF is pregnant and it might be his but it could be someone elses..
We would like to get a blood test before the baby is born..

for the test to be done before the baby is born they will have to do an amnio which 1 is risky and 2 it will cost more to do

I would wait till baby is born to do the test he doesn't have to sign the certificate until he has the results and I think it cost around $500 but to be sure ask your gp they will have all the details to point you in the right direction

I heard that there is a normal blood test that can be done now as their is fetal blood in the Mothers blood?

oh I didn't know that try ring your GP they may have the cost and where to get it done that is alot better too so it doesn't leave it hanging over their heads good luck

Out of curiosity I just googled paternity test and the first search result was www.easydna.com.au. They do prenatal dna testing on the mothers blood they charge $1690. It says they do the test from 10 weeks.
