SLEEP???How many hours do you get? Rss

At the moment, no sleep!! My 4 mth old is currently waking every 1-2 hours. My DS1 was also a terrible sleeper in his first year but when he turned a year old he started sleeping 12 hour nights and still does unless sick which is rare.

So yes I can remember when I last got a full nights sleep and I can't wait for it again!!
reading thru the posts, i actually feel really lucky! From birth, my girl would wake for a feed and a change, then sleep thru. for the past 6 months or so its been great, she sleeps straight thru the night, usually going to sleep around 8pm and getting up around 7.30am-ish. I'm very blessed with a great sleeper.

Reading some of these posts I don't know how you ladie's do it!! I am actually slightly jealous of how some women survive so well on such little amounts of sleep as I've never been good at it

The 'least' amount of sleep I have ever gone for an extended period was about 5hrs a night for the first few weeks of my kids being born.

I am a 8-9hr a night sleeper ... even if it means going to bed early to get it I do cause I NEED my sleep to function lol.
I get 7 - 9 hours of unbroken sleep. It depends on what time I go to bed. DS is usually the first awake and that is normally about 6 - 6.30am.
I probably get about 7 hours unless I go to bed early. Only been the last few months that I haven't been woken by the kids on a regular basis. They are pretty good now and rarely wake. I on the other hand do tend to wake a bit especially at about 3 or 4 in the morning but usually I am back to sleep in 20min or so.
I get between 4 and 10 hours.

However its all broken sleep.

If the kids wake up thru the night I get up, and one or both of the kids end up in our bed every single morning at about 5 or 6am (which I hate because I cannot sleep once they are in there!)

I get up probably 3 - 6 times a night to pee or have a drink.

I am a very light sleeper and so every time I turn over while sleeping, I wake up and then have to fall asleep again! So very frustrating!

The last time I had a full nights sleep was a few weeks ago and it was because I had a chronic headache and took 4 panadol before bed, and I slept for 6 hours straight but my bladder was about to explode when I woke up! Before that, I cannot remember the last night I had a full nights unbroken sleep... maybe 5 or 6 years ago??

My twins sleep 12 hours straight. But I often go to bed late but usually get 8 hours sleep, usually uninterrupted but I always have one ear open.
somewhere between 5-7hrs a night. I never wake up feeling refreshed....miss my sleep but its amazing how you get used to having so little & how you can still function lol

I have between 8-10hrs sleep every night, 5 out of 7 days a week its unbroken sleep, and it helps that im a deep sleeper and that my boys are both good sleepers since they were born

I get 7 or 8 hours broken sleep. If I have 6 hours I'm cranky and if I have 9 hours I feel drugged.

I have 4 kids and have been blessed with 4 awesome sleepers... I have been getting 8- 9 hours of sleep a night since Ethan was 3 months old ( he is now 2) of course every now and then we have one that sleep walks or is sick but on average its all un broken for us which is awesome, as I have 2 jobs!!!

When I was pregnant with DS2 (and before that) I would get a great nights sleep- DS1 has always been a good sleeper and was sleeping through the night from a very early age. On the off night if he wasn't feeling well or had a bad dream etc. my sleep would be broken but most nights I got a good solids night sleep anywhere between 8-12 hours depending on what time I'd go to bed and DS1 would get up.

Now with DS1 and DS2 (4months) DS2 goes to bed for the night between 8-9pm then sleeps through until about 3-4am has a bottle then is straight asleep until around 8-930am. So I still get a pretty solid sleep getting up to feed once how many hours again depends on when I go to bed!
