The unconditional love you feel for that baby as soon as its in your arms
How painful sitting down is for the first few days unsure

No one told me anything because I couldn't be told! lol
I had no idea that motherhood can actually be hard.... roll eyes

How the first few weeks of breastfeeding are worse than childbirth itself!

I agree all you get told is how amazing and natural BF is but was so much harder than labour

have to agree with this... breast feeding is agony in the beginning.
Also:
how much more washing you will have to do
how much more your MIL will p!ss you off lol
how your baby will make you realise who is a true friend and isn't!

Oooh this!!! I didn't realise just how PROTECTIVE it makes you.... and all those flippant comments I once made about peoples kids would have really p'd lots of mummies off! lol
Nothing creates instant anger more than someone trying to interfere with or give their opinion on your parenting.... blink

Oh, so many things. So, so many things. If I had to chose one, I'd go with...
Childbirth - "After the baby is born you'll be treated to a THIRD stage of labour... luck you. It'll be like giving birth to a second (smaller, squishier) baby right when all your bits are at their sorest... enjoy"
Motherhood - "You'll turn into a judgemental B**** and NOBODY will be good enough to be around your newborn, not even hubby (unless bub has been screaming for a significant number of hours/days then you may be willing to let him "give it a try"). If someone sneezes, coughs, doesn't wash their hands, swears or even looks at your bub the wrong way there is no stopping the flood of homicidal thoughts"

How the best experts in the world are usually friends or family members who have never experience labour, childbirth, pregnancy or being a parent.
I have one of those right now who swears she is never having kids but likes to tell me what to do and what not to do during my pregnancy. Ive gotten to the point where i told her to butt out and be quiet until she has gone through it all herself.

All the above (pure love and protectiveness especially) and ...
That I would wet myself after child birth LOL!! Seriously though, it was a HUGE shock finding out that my pelvic floor would never be the same. I mean, someone had told me, I just didn't really understand what that meant.
Also, the first time your baby cries in the night when you're dead asleep and how powerful that sound was/is to me. (BTW, that was the first time I wet myself - jumped up out of the bed in a panic and it all let go. sad )
