Argh! Just never seem to be able to get ahead!!

Last week we got our power bill and it was $660. Last night I checked the bank account and DH hadn't been paid any of his overtime. Then we went to start the car to go out to dinner last night & it wouldn't start (it's only 2 yrs old!) and turns out it was the battery which had apparently died! So we go out this morning to get a new battery and it was $210!!

Sometimes it just feels like the bills are never ending and we just cannot get ahead!

Okay whinge over smile

i know what you mean everything just happens at once and it just piles up so fast it sucks so bad

GBH to you I know the feeling. We have a set budget for each of our bills and when we finally have them under control something breaks and needs fixing. Hope things turn around soon for you.

You know what makes it worse?? Our mortgage repayment is due soon and we are also waiting for the water & sewerage bill from the house. (We couldn't afford to live in our house once I stopped working so we moved into my mums place and rented it out. Mum doesn't live with us though.)

Bills suck sad But we will get through it!!

We budget everything as well and have lots of things direct debited out of our account every fortnight but when everything comes in, it all comes at the same time! I have only just set the power up to direct debit so hopefully we'll be on top of next time!

We are going through it too atm... Our car is going to cost $1800 to fix (i swear its only worth $50 but), & all the other household bills are arriving!!! Everytime we look like we are getting somewhere something else happens!!!

Positive thinking, things will get better!! Just means I'm going to have a VERY boring fortnight as I can't afford to do anything. I have a 12 month pass to our wildlife park so guess I'll just have to hang out there a bit more even though I already go twice a week!! Our mums group is a walking group so there is always about 20-25 women and numerous kids there on a Tuesday morning! And then I go walking there with my mum on a Friday morning smile

What sort of car do you have? Whats wrong with it? Sorry, don't mean to be nosey... My DH is a mechanic so these things intrigue me smile If you were in Darwin, I would offer his services smile (I do it all the time for friends, lucky he's a good sport and just does it).

It all just keeps coming doesn't it?!? I'm just trying to work out if I should spend all of my savings to stay home for term 1 then go back early in term 2 or try to do relief teaching then go back in term 3 (like I was going to). DH is out of work and I didn't budget for having to pay for everything when on maternity leave. sad

We have a Suzuki Vitara Estate, We got caught in flash flood literally around the corner from our house & now we have oil in our Spark Plug housing which apparently is a major rebuild!!! tongue sad & thanks heaps for the offer but we are down in Sydney grin At least on a positive note we dont have to pay for our solicitor with all the Grandparents right c!@#, That would bury us for sure!!
