Advice needed please Rss

Help - i was looking after my 4 year old niece after an after kinder party where they ran riot all afternoon and ate so much stuff (lollies, chips, marshmallows) etc.
anyway, put her in the car, DH was driving around the corner when she started to make a really weird sound in the car, DH turned to look at her (bit hard for me in the front passenger seat) and he said OMG her eyes are rolling back into her head! - we pulled over straight away, and as he made it to the door she threw up!
Now she is fine - bit quiet but saying she feels "ok" - dh thinks i should take her to the doctor immediately as he has "never seen anyone do that" - mind you he also told me he has never fainted before so thinks the whole thing is very strange
Me - i am not that concernced (or should i be) - sister is picking her up in an hour and i will tell her all about it - but i think too much excitment, food and running around, then hoping into a car seat and DH going around a corner made her throw up - but he still thinks why would her eyes roll back in her head?
any advice anyone - please!
oh and she has done this once before at our place - think she had a tummy bug (again i ddin't see it) but was eating her eyes rolled back into her head, she "sort of fainted" dh said then she threw up
any advice - now writing this it sounds really serious sad
If I was you, I would ring the mother straight away and explain the situation and see what she would like you to do. It could be as simple as too much excitement/eating way to much party food or something more serious.

Let her mother make the decision.

Cheers.

Was just going to write the same as above. If her mother is going to be there in an hour, I would call her so that she can make an appointment at the doc if she wants to take her. smile

I would also ring her mum and let her know what has happened and ask her what she wants you to do. The eyes rolling back does concern me a bit, I would probably take her to the DR just to check all is ok.
fainting and throwing up is not normal, even if she has done it before, this just makes it more serious imo.

i would be very upset if this happened to my child and i wasn't informed immediately so i could decide what to do, which would be to take her straight to the doctors to get her checked out.

When you build a house, every brick counts. When you build a character, every thought counts.

yeah id get her checked out....i know my nephew gets sick after having too much sugar but having her eyes roll back thats a bit strange. hope she is ok
