I went to my Doc today to get Champix to help stop smoking and do all the standard health checks/folic acid prescription etc as I would like to start trying in a few months.
I get home and am reading the drug info sheet and it says 'don't take if pregnant or could get pregnant until you have discussed the risks/benefits with your pharmacist or doc'.
Am I overreacting, does anyone know if you can take this drug shortly before you conceive with no harmful effects? I would like to think my Doc wouldn't have prescribed this if there were but he's a new Doc to me (just moved towns) and I'm just being super careful, any knowledge greatly appreciated.
