Sufficient Punishment Rss

No punishment just say not to do that again

my ds has done this 2 times. first time i just told him off. second time i made him give me some money out of his money box to cover the cost.
oh i hear you... My DS (also 4) finds it physically impossible to have a shower without squirting out half the bottle of soap, shampoo, conditioner... whatever. We tried putting some bottles of water that he can squirt- didn't work - after all water doesn't make bubbles smile

After several times we said because it was a waste- he had to go without something (like icecream for desert) if he got pocket money we'd do that - but he does understand our logic still...

BUT: he still can't help it... I just try to take it out of the shower before he goes in now, otherwise i'd have to think of something he'd go without everyday!
ground him until he is 18!LOL
see the other posts about it not really being a 'bad thing'

mum of 3 boys aged 10, 11 and 13

Yeah looking back now that it is the next day it doesn't seem as bad as it was when I found him going look mum look what I did... I'm sick at the moment too therefore making every little thing seem that little bit worse.

My DS has done this a couple of times aswell. It was a litre bottle of shower gel, the first time it had only been used a couple of times and he just got told not waste. The second time I told him I was taking money out of his money box, (I didn't of course) but he was so upset by it that he hasn't done it since.
