Lying and Discipline

Hi, I'm a mum of 4 boys aged 3-10 years. My biggest problem at the moment is the eldest childs constant lying. I have tried several tactics to get him to understand that lying is not the best thing and how it can land you in lots of trouble. Nothing has worked sad What have other parents tried?

We have the same problem. My daughter is 13 and is always lying to us. Even if she is already caught, she will be adamant that she didn't do it and still lie to us. We tried everything from taking away her things and grounding her but to no avail. I guess, it is more of understanding her and her need to lie.
