How much would you pay Rss

I put a post up the other day about getting someone in to do my windows and walls once a month. No other cleaning.

I have had a few people inquire about it and ask what i would pay.

One girl said no thanks as she gets paid more for working in a bar and apparently thats easier then cleaning walls! LOL.... ok thanks for adding your 2cents worth love tongue

Am i being to stingy???

What would you pay and what would u want to get paid if you were doing it LOL??
For a normal size house if they are experienced in cleaning it shouldn't take longer than an hour it so.

Maybe $25?
I must be stingy. I had a male work mate who would come and clean my entire house once a week and I paid him $12/hr. But that's all he wanted so he could pay for his squash games laugh

How many windows and how big are they? And are we talking inside walls our outside?

Cleaning walls would be a biatch, if I was going to do it I'd want $25-$30 an hour. I know someone who does cleaning in private homes and gets $100 for 3 hours work and via an agency at $27 an hour so if I was going to do it I'd be aiming for that, specially if its only a once a month job. Not like its a regular income so possibly difficult to secure someone specially if you arent offering much - what are you offering BTW?
They are just normal windows. Bt i only want inside done. I wash them on the outside with that window cleaner crap you screw onto your hose? You know the one i mean??

So in total i have 3 sliding doors, glass floor to ceiling panel next to front door and 4 bedrooms, bath/toilet kitchen and 2 extra windows in the lounge room/dinning room... LOL.....

Then of course all those rooms have walls wink

Personally i think $25 is to much!!

Id be happy to pay $20 for the right person.

I must admit this one girl was very young, about 18-21? so i did lower the price by a few dollars as she also has never cleaned other people houses before! LOL.... my bad tongue

Anyway DF is going to ask his cleaner at his work who we know is a very hard and fast worker. Id be happy to pay more knowing it was goign to be done to my standards. grin

And thats why i want to just do cashie jobs with a house cleaner not a cleaner company who contracts them out smile

I would never pay that to have my house cleaned LOL!! Trust me i have had my fair share of *** jobs! If you need the money you do it. I know i have had to.

But there are people who will pay it so from a cleaners point of view why take less when you can get more. Where I am there's no shortage of well paying jobs and good cleaners are hard to come by, that $100 for 3 hours is a cashie!!
I reckon $20 is fair for the right person who is going to do a good job of it.

Good on her getting that price!!

I know, wish I could get one of those jobs... $100 for 3 hours work, I'll take that smile
lol, all the time you spent chatting about it, you probably would have it done by now and get to keep your money.

I just get my husband to do it.
We haven't had a cleaner for 2 years now, but we used to pay ours $18 an hour cash. I'd say around the $20 an hour mark is reasonable.
