Mould on bathroom ceiling Rss

I have a little mould starting to appear on the ceiling of my bathroom. It has terrible ventilation.
I want to clean it before it gets to bad.
Whats the best thing to use please??
We had mould in our bedroom ceiling, from a leak in the roof.
All we used was a strong dialution of bleach and water and wiped it with a cloth until the roof was fixed. You can then spray it with Glen20 to prevent mould
Vinegar?? Have a look on the Stay At Home Mums website, they have heaps of ideas.

My blog, take a peek into my world

oil of cloves mixed with water is great. It actually stops the mould growing where as bleach and other cleaning products only remove the mould that can be seen. Can't remember the dilution rate though sorry. It will be on a website somewhere. There is a lady that goes on the radio and TV shows talking about how to clean stains and stuff but can't remember her name. If I remember I'll post it for you. smile

Found it. Her name is Shannon Lush. I only remember the mould thing because we're in Brisbane and she recommended it for after the floods cause everyone had mould. You couldn't get oil of cloves anywhere for months. smile Here is her reciepe.

To use oil of cloves as a mold remover:
Add half a teaspoon of oil of cloves to 1 litre of water - no more than that.

Put it into a spray bottle, spray the surface and leave for 20 minutes.
Wipe the surface clean, then re-spray and leave it.
It will take between 24 to 48 hours for the mould spores to die and drop off.

Hope that helps.

Hubby did that too.... and we installed a better fan

same, well any type of mould remover from the supermarket and a mop (to reach our high ceilings and walls) smile

Thanks ladies. Now can i just spray the stuff up there? Or do i have to use a mop.
Depends on if i have to scrub or not i suppose?

With exit mould I just spray then use the mop to wipe off, I guess it depends on how high up your ceiling is.
