Smelly bath drain Rss

There seems to be a pretty awful smell coming from our bath drain. Any ideas what to do about it or what it could be? Anyone had this before?
Try sprinkling some bicarb into the drain, then pour in some white vinegar. Leave it 5-10 mins then pour down a kettle full of boiling water. That's what I do when the drains get whiffy!

I did that, but ran hot bath water instead of boiling water. Do you think that would make much of a difference?
Shouldn't make a difference I think. If it still smells you might have to use the hard stuff, like domestos or drano...
Somewhere outside your bathroom will be a cap that will unscrew off the drain. Unscrew it (it'll be on a corner piece) and have a look in there for a blockage.
If that doesn't yield results, and the vinegar thing doesn't work, then draino stuff is the hardcore option. DO NOT use draino or bleach or any chemicals if you have an envirocycle septic system.

For around $15-20 at Mitre 10 you can get the thingy that you snake down the drain to collect any hair and gunk and pull it back out again.
