I want to start a mummy and baby Cafe Rss

Hi every one:

I m Jun and I m new here in Huggies forum , I got two kids they r two and half and three months , we r living in Warrnambool.

I currently got an idea to start a mums and kids Cafe , so it basically provide all the mums and kids with nice and friendly environment ~~good coffee , light foods, homemade hearty soup for mummy , magazine to read and also communicate to other mums . For kids , we would offer a homemade finger foods ,fresh juice and safe and clean play area!

Well , what do your guys think about this idea ???
And pls send me a e mail if anyone one would like to join me with it and pls write me an email: junmeredith1117@yahoo.com.au
Sounds great, things like that usually do well in regional towns. Depends on what other play centres and stuff like that are in the area though?
Fantastic idea - we have one here on the gold coast all it has is a big yard with huge sand pit and shabby chic table and chairs. They sell coffee and only a bit of food they also sell a bit of trendy old stuff it is always busy. Its just nice to take the kids somewhere they are locked in and l can have a coffee without worrying about them. Good luck
We had a mums and bubs cafe here in Christchurch, gone now like so many things, and they had a centralised play area, gated off and the seating areas arranged around it so mums could see no matter where they sat. The proprietors had outside entertainers come to put on a music time once a week that participants paid to attend so the proprietors didn't have to pay the entertainers themselves. Of course then the mums would buy food and drink and stay after the class to chat. If you could find a location near a playground it would be perfect because no one wants to stay inside on a nice day and then you don't have to pay to maintain the outdoor area.

sounds nice grin.

Play centres also do coffees and stuff and offer cafe facilities!

Sounds like a fab idea to me! Great food, great coffee and entertainment for the kids sounds like a match made in heaven! smile

We live in Ararat and when we go down to Warnnambool we would definetly go somewhere like that. Good luck!
When i was pregnant i always wanted to go somewhere i was guaranteed a pregnancy friendly menu, maybe you could look at something like that, too?
sounds great, my mothers group are always looking for places to go, something like this would be fantastic.I am not in Warrnambool, but being a holdiday spot, should do well. Good luck..Carolyn

Carolyn, mum to Mason

that would be awesome, if only there was something like that here in Rockingham W/A
Hi there Jun. GREAT idea! Come and start it up in my town LOL!! I think there already is a cafe like that in Warrnambool (called Pebbles I think) but I haven't been to Warrnambool in ages so it might have closed down. Just thought I'd let you know just in case you didn't already. Good luck, I think it's an AWESOME idea!

I think it's a great idea also. There are a few cafes like this around Melbourne and it's so great to go somewhere you don't have to stress about your baby crying, toddler running around or being embarrassed to breastfeed. Check out a friend of mine's website www.heybambini.com.au where she reviews baby friendly cafes....
