Dad & Bub

Hi everyone,

Just wanting to get some ideas from dads (or mums) on what dad and bub can do together. My bubs dad is really really keen to be activly involved and was thinking of getting a gift voucher/membership to an activity. So far I can only think of Swimming lessons or a music group. But dad is rly into sport so was trying to think of somethign on that line. If anyone has ideas or specifically in Adelaide whats available that would be a great help!!

Swimming lessons is a good idea. When DD was in swimming, DP would take her and it was the cutest thing seeing them in the pool together.

DF is an outdoors guy, so we got DS all sorts of sports things and outdoor toys. DF works with heavy machinery, so DS loves playing with diggers and dump trucks with Dad cos he relates this to daddy at work.

We have rugby ball, soccer balls, bouncy ball, hockey stick (lil one for DS), mini plastic golf set, etc and also cones to put down as goals etc. DS can throw great and he has amazing hand-eye co-ordination. He can hit the hockey and golf balls with the sticks. DF also does all of our gardens, so DS has all the mini garden stuff to help dad. They do a fantastic job! DF is quite a shy person so acitivties like swim classes aren't really for him and after working long hours he doesn't have the energy for it. They also go for walks to the shops together, clean the car, sweep the garage. I make an effort to stay inside while they have their time together, or I go out for the day.

DF does take him to watch rugby and he has been to the races for the day too.

They aren't really activities to go out to, but still ways your bubs dad and bubs can do things together.
